Hosting and Delivery
Podtractor Analytics and PodGarden podcast hosting services are based on a three-tier architecture. In combination with multi-tier design the system features load balancing at each layer allowing for redundancy and scalability. The presentation layer is dns load balanced, the logic layer is weighted load balancing based on server load, and the data storage layer uses master-to-master data replication. Additionally, hardware redundancies are built in utilizing RAID Level 1, dual redundant power supplies, battery backup, and generator backed main power. Network connectivity redundancy is provided via a GigE connection to Level3, a OC-12 connection to Savvis, and an OC-3 to Verizon.
