Integrated Online Marketing Leader Oneupweb Launches New Industry Podcast Series Entitled One for the Money
First One for the Money Podcast Episode Dramatizes and Analyzes a Frighteningly Plausible Natural Search Engine Optimization Disaster
TRAVERSE CITY, MI (PRWeb) April 27, 2007 – Lisa Wehr, President of Oneupweb, today announced the launch of One for the Money, a new informational podcast drama series. The first episode, entitled The Dirty Little Secret, dramatizes what can happen when a new website generates some highly undesirable search results. Although fictional, the story is based on some actual experiences of Oneupweb clients.
“What we’ll be trying to do in this podcast series,” notes Lisa Wehr, “is demonstrate in a memorable fashion, the pitfalls and opportunities that online marketers face every day. We’ll take a two-pronged approach, by presenting a brief online drama, similar to an old radio program, followed by some targeted commentary and analysis of the material.”
In this first episode, a manufacturer discovers at its regular board meeting that a routine online search for their product keywords turns up a multitude of undesirable websites. The ensuing recriminations and eventual solutions cause a considerable shakeup in management. Oneupweb CEO Lisa Wehr and Business Development Director Tim Kauffold sum up the importance of search engine optimization (SEO) to every company doing business online.
“We’re really pleased with this new format,” says Wehr. “It utilizes both the entertainment and informational potential of podcasting to make points usually presented in somewhat dry white papers and seminar-like commentary. Our staff gets to try out its amateur acting talents, while we showcase our very professional podcast production and publication services. And best of all, online marketers get real information they can use.”
Future One for the Money episodes will dramatize scenarios encountered in paid search marketing, online integration, analytics, podcasting and social media. Each episode will offer free resources for listeners. In this first episode, for example, online marketers are offered a guide to help them calculate the return on their search marketing efforts.
“This is new ground for the search marketing industry,” adds Wehr. “We hope that online marketers enjoy the series and that it helps them work more effectively.”
