Subject Matter Expert
Usually a guest speaker invited to participate in a podcast; some sponsorship packages will include a segment where the sponsor's subject matter expert is interviewed as part of the show. The more these segments sound like commercials, the less valuable they are to the audience. Successful subject matter experts will share expertise or commentary on an issue. The segment can be related to a product or service, but should take care to provide newsworthy usage tips, helpful information or reviews.
